Time Well Spent

Time Well Spent

One deeply felt learning  I have come  to light  through this course was there are so many issues  that need to be address in the world early childhood education.

Another one was is nice learning from other and getting the perspective on how the deal with the world early childhood education in their community.

Finally the experience of doing online learning was new for me. I was used to going to class.  This was a beautiful learning experience I got meet people all over the world and learned new cultures.  I have been teaching for over 20 years I have seen the change in the early childhood field. I am looking forward to see how the world of technology will play role and help children learning.  Over all this was an excellent learning experience that will last a life time.

My long term goal is to get my Doctorate in future.  I will continue to take course from time to time to keep me updates on the change in the world of ECE. I am looking for to advocate for cause that I am passion about.

Dr. Dartt, your newsletters, suggestion, comments was very helpful for me.  I made me focus more on the issues that I was writing about thank you. To my classmate I enjoy our journey together of learning. It sad to say that our journey has come to end. I wish everybody the best. Jobs/Roles in the ECE Community: Internationally

Jobs/Roles in the ECE Community: Internationally

The Early Childhood Development caught my interest because it work with mother of Nepal that are in prison. “ECDC is dedicated to helping the children of imprisoned parents in Nepal, many of whom were living inside the jails alongside their mothers. This is no place for children and we are committed to giving them the shelter and education needed to break the cycle of crime and poverty. ECDC's Butterfly home provides these children a safe and nurturing environment where they can spread their wings to discover a brighter future.”(ecdcnepal.org 2015)

The next organization is Quaker United Nations Office (QUNO) “QUNO staff work with people in the UN, multilateral organizations, government delegations, and non-governmental organizations, to achieve changes in international standards and practice. Quakers are known for speaking out against injustice and war - issues that are incompatible with our vision of a world in which peace and justice prevail”. (quno.org 2015)  I choose this organization because of their interest children of prisoners and women in prison.

The last organization is Save the Children Save the Children invests in childhood – every day, in times of crisis and for our future. In the United States and around the world, we give children a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. By transforming children's lives now, we change the course of their future and ours.”(savethechildren.org) I choose organization because of their supporting children worldwide.

I saw one job that look interesting that was with Quaker United Nations Office programme assistant for September 2015 to August 2016. This is an opportunity for a person in sympathy with Quaker approaches and with an interest in international affairs and in international organizations. You would experience a range of international work, while working primarily as an assistant to QUNO’s Representative for Human Rights and Refugees in her work, which focuses on children of incarcerated parents (including children of parents sentenced to death), conscientious objection to military service and refugee protection. (quno.org. 2015)
