Professional Hopes and Goals

                                                   Professional  Hopes and Goals

My hope for working with families that come from a diverse background is that we can build on the background knowledge of the families. Also with knowledge I gain from this class it allow me to reach more families that have a diverse background so we can work together to support the child in the classroom.

One goal is I  would like to more diversity add to the curriculum and  more training for teachers on diversity. So that we can support the families and children.

I would like to say thank you  to all my colleagues for their support during this class. Also would like to thank you for sharing your insight , knowledge, view point .

  1. Great post Raejean!
As educators who work with families, our willingness to help promote a constructive and positive sense of self in children can make a huge difference in establishing the affluent diversity of our society and helping children build connections across cultures and traditions. Also, as educators, our first goal should be to discover how a family’s traditions relate to their goals for their children.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and insight throughout this course. Wishing you the best in this course and in future courses!

  2. I must agree that it would be of great benefit to have all curriculum include lessons on the application of diversity acceptance amongst children. These lessons could include take home activities for both the child and the caregiver to work on together to extend the benefits of what's being taught. I'm sure you'll continue to do well on you endeavors:)
